Hey guys so I just discovered that my old zte mf627 ID 19d2:0031 is not supported in latest usb-modeswitch-data package because I can not find my id in configPack.tar.gz and my modem does not work in mint 17 but it work in debian 7 with older modeswitch-data. I tried adding
Code: Select all
# ZTE MF627
ATTR{idVendor}=="19d2", ATTR{idProduct}=="0031", RUN+="usb_modeswitch '%b/%k'"
to /lib/udev/rules.d/40-usb_modeswitch.rules but it does not work, and here is my log
Code: Select all

Aargh! Config file missing for 19d2:0031! Exiting.
Also want to report new device ID 19d2:0016 and it does not work with latest modeswitch-data, what can I do to fix this isues, tnx

This was supposed to be an error in the config files. There are modems that have the target ID of 19d2:0031, which is the
modem mode.
If there is in fact an old device which has the same ID in
storage mode, then the manufacturer has screwed up considerably ...
You don't need to copy a whole pack of configurations - just put
one config file for your modem into the folder
/etc/usb_modeswitch.d
This is the content of the file (which is named "19d2:0031"):
Code: Select all
DefaultVendor= 0x19d2
DefaultProduct=0x0031
TargetVendor= 0x19d2
TargetProduct= 0x0094
MessageContent="5553424312345678000000000000061b000000020000000000000000000000"
