R226 from vodafone

Post by thomasschaefer » 05 Mar 2015, 20:32

There is no problem with R226 under Linux.

I would like just to mention that it works plug and play:

tested with
usb_modeswitch 2.2.0
under opensuse 13.2

ipv4/ipv6 works seemless with networkmanager,
the router has to be managed via Web-frontend at VodafoneMobile.wifi

WLAN works too

Thomas

PS: Do not confuse it with the "Speedbox LTE mini II" or Huawei E5786. These are models with totally different firmware and behaviour.

Hi Thomas,
thanks again for your reports on the Vodafone MiFi routers.
Can you please provide lsusb -v -d listings for both id's - they are new to me.

There are three device IDs.

1c20 off (loading akku)
1f07 on (before usb-mode-switching)
15bf on (after usb-mode-switching)

The rest is in the attached file.
