Can anyone point me to a UMTS usb dongle รก al E3131 (size, weight),
that produces an ethX network device after modeswitching
when only a linux kernel 3.4.11 is available?

I'd like to get along w/o pppd dialup using /dev/ttyUSB0,
something that will pop up a "network card" under kernel 3.4.11 would be great.

TIA

All Huawei Win8/10 certified dongles works with the MBIM protocol (which you don't have in kernel 3.4) and they also have a WinXP/7 mode which usually is ETH protocol.
usb_modeswitch will switch them into ETH mode if there isn't any cdc_mbim driver in the kernel.
