Hmm, you are very close to a working Internet ...

I would have to see why the network notification fails. If you are familiar with the "adb" tool you could pull a "logcat" from the device on a PC. If not, get the free app "Catlog" which shows you the system log in a window. It should also be possible to save the displayed log to a text file.

If you are prepared, try to connect with PPP Widget 3 and save the log some seconds after the connection is made. It will contain the system messages during the (failed) network notification.

If you can spare the money for "SuperSU Pro", you can then log the actual root commands and the system responses for every root app, so you could see if PPP Widget 3 sets the default route correctly. This is optional though.

Edit: I just saw that you have posted the SuperSU log.

No need to do the logcat thing yet - the problem is quite obvious: you don't have the "tun0" network interface!

I have edited and appended my previous reply.

This is very strange. Do you get the confirmation dialog about VPN?

If yes, and if you confirm it, you should have a "tun0" network device - but it looks like you don't ...

Try to connect again with PPP Widget 3 and while connected run the command "ip link" on the terminal. Do you see anything that looks "tun"-like?

On some version of PPP widget i saw row like
100.99.132.0/24 dev tun0 proto kernel scope link src 100.99.132.87
on last i saw raw
default dev tun0 scope link
But there was no time when this two rows were together :D

I think i`ve got error wit Catlog, please see attach

I will have a look.

Meanwhile, try the command "ip link" in a root terminal while connected.

If you don't have it, install "Android Terminal Emulator" and on the command line enter "su".
Then run "ip link"

Hmm, the problem seems to originate here:

"failed to add interface tun0 to VPN netId 100"

It's possible that some sort of network is up already. Please try again to connect, but this time enable the device's "Flight Mode" (offline) first.

Hmm, I can't see that you entered "ip link". You have entered "ip route".

With "ip link" you should get the full list of network interfaces. That's what we want to see.

However, looking at the xda post you linked, I am afraid there is something broken in the VPN implementation of your device. PPP Widget 3 (and 2 too) require a working "tun0" interface - which is usually created on tablets and phones.

Hmm, it does not look like there is annother real network active. My guess is that the VPN implementation in that ROM is faulty.

The posting on XDA shows the same error as on your device. Contrary to the poster's opinion, the problem is not related to drivers or the pppd program. Both are not used by PPP Widget 3.

Unfortunately, creating a working VPN interface is the central feature of PPP Widget (2 and 3), so if this ROM can't be fixed there is not much hope.
