Hello,
if you did not saw my translate, go for it :)

I recently updated my Shield K1 tablet to Android 7.0 and rooted it again.
The widget works smoothlier, but system does not seem to be informed and logs say that the commands for notifying failed.
So if you can give me that commands so I can try to repair them or make some solution.

Nightenom

Unfortunately, I have no device for testing Android 7. It's likely that the undocumented function I'm using for that trick has been changed somehow. There is no easy fix, but I'll look out for a reasonably priced tablet with Nugat on it (the OS, not the stuff itself ...).

Don't do this, I got workaround to use internet with built-in browser in Facebook app.
After I will get up I will send you logs.

Here they are:
ppp.log just shows that "Network notification seems to have failed", else nothing interesting
dmesg.log shows proper usb attach and vpn creation and destruction
in logcat.log I did'nt cut out apps searching for updates, and after first "HERE" mark I think that this is the problem

And I don't want to force you to buy anything, just save that money and wait for N update :) If you have will and time this afternon I can give you remote control via TeamViewer or something like that.

Have a great weekend

Ah, thanks - that "logcat" output is very helpful indeed !!

I can work with that. Until this is fixed, you can use some apps that don't wait for Android to announce network access, like K9 for mail, or browsers like Opera.

Hello, any news?
Sometimes it works (Chrome etc.) but the system still shows nothing. Network status just does one blink.
Interesting that installing BusyBox causes not working internet at all.
And I got whole system log with bugreport command, which is actually full of process dumps, but can be useful more than only logcat itself. Here's the link (it's over 10Mb) https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B66IhiCsIEdOTFVGUXBWRnlITmM

I was indeed occupied with other specific problems. Thanks for the reminder.

I have pulled the Android 7 source code, and I think the issue that became apparent in your logcat can be fixed. Right now I'm going through all of my code to check if there are further changes to make because of changes compared to Android 5 and 6.

Give me one or two more days.

I have just uploaded a new version. It might work with Android 7 - at least it should not show the same error again.

Hello, it quite seems working but some Google apps are telling me that I'm offline: Gmail, YouTube, MusicPlay and half of background of the system. I don't know whether it's your problem or Google's as developer.
Have a sunny weekend, Nightenom

Hmm, the fix I created was specifically dedicated to this very issue ...

So that means the "network notification" is still not working. Could you provide annother logcat file perhaps?
The important moment is the same as in your previous logcat (when the crash happened). Search for this line and include the lines taht follow it:
"PPPWidget3: Will try to make OS aware of connect ..."
