<  The PPP Widget Family for Android  ~  PPP3 widget not 'seen' on Nexus7

I've downloaded and installed the widget on my Nexus 7 (2013). it tells me it installed successfully but it's icon is not on my app list.
When I plug in a ZTE MF730M it is recognised and asks to use the PPP3 programme as the default app but then warns 'Place PPP3 Widget 3 on your workspace first'.
Thanks in advance for your replies.

As described in the app description and in the FAQs, you have to place the widget on the workspace first.
How the widget selection list is opened varies between Android versions and manufacturers. Either there is an additional tab on top of the app selection list, or you press and hold somewhere on the 'desktop'.

Thanks Josh but how do I do that when it is not in my list of apps? If I go to settings it is listed but nowhere else is it visible. Normally when I download a new app from Google Play it appears on the 'desktop' instantly after it's installed.

I've managed to get connected and been taken to the web browser page, however although it shows that page, if I try and open another it says I'm offline. The PPP3 icon on the desktop also says I'm connected.

Please post the "PPP Log" from the widget. (Enable logging in the configuration, close to the bottom. Then connect again.)

You need to connect again for the first log to be created.

O.K., that's what I needed to see.

What's missing is the report from the "network notification". Did you disable that option in the configuration?

Check again if the option "Notify system ..." is checked.
