Hello, Josh:
I'm in China now. I want to use TD-SCDMA with a 3G Dongle called ABS-T920 on Nexus 7.
The PPP Widget supports China Mobile's 3G network TD-SCDMA?
If not, how to remodify it?

The 3G Dongle's device ID:
DefaultVendor= 0x04cc
DefaultProduct= 0x2259
TargetVendor= 0x04cc
TargetProduct= 0x2259

MessageContent="5553424348d9e6880000000000000600000000000000000000000000000000"
or maybe is
MessageContent="5553424308e0e8850000000000000600000000000000000000000000000000"
I'm not sure.

But I con't find a filename like "04cc.2259" in the config file.
Maybe I could built a new file named "04cc.2259",but I don't kown how to remodify usb_modeswitch.
I need your help.
Thanks.

Android is not the best platform to test new switching configurations. You can try though ...

So far, I don't think there are devices from that "family" in the config collection yet. Are you sure you have the right "MessageContent"?
Note that bytes 5-8 (where your two "messages" differ) are random tags which can be anything. So both lines will have the exact same effect, which will be not much because this looks like the SCSI IDLE command ...

You can try annother command which is used very often:
MessageContent="5553424312345678000000000000061b000000020000000000000000000000"

Use this with your "Default" values, don't use the "Target" values for now, and put it in a file on your SD card, e.g.
/sdcard/abs.conf (name does not matter). Then call it with usb_modeswitch in a "su" shell:

# usb_modeswitch -I -W -c /sdcard/abs.conf

Important: originally, the usb_modeswitch binary is not in the PATH for executables; you either have to call it with the whole preceding path or you can add its path to the PATH variable:

# export PATH=$PATH:/data/data/de.draisberghof.pppwidget/app_bin

After your attempt, have a look at the output of "dmesg". If there is a "device disconnect" and a "new device" message shortly after, it is likely that you succeeded.

If you continue to play around with existing MessageContents, be sure to re-plug your stick every time.

Thank you for V0.98, thank you for Josh.
I installed V0.98 on my nexus 7 without any modification.
It is perfect to support for my ABS-T920 TD-SCDMA card.
Configure:
Access Point Name:cmnet
Username:any

Hmm, means you can 'click' it (with sound feedback) but nothing happens?

What about the connection - is it still up after touching "Disconnect" (may take a few moments) ?
