Well , I don't have "option.ko" in /lib/modules/ , so running "insmod option.ko" tells me "No such file or directory". I downloaded one "option.ko" from the internet and tried the command but I recieved "Can't insert 'option.ko' : invalid module format".

Well I have the path "/sys/bus/usb-serial/drivers/option1" and I have 4 files there: "bind", "new_id", "uevent" and "unbind"
This means that the "option" driver is active. No need for "modprobe". You can just run the "echo" command, but that should all be done by the widget automatically.

Which version of PPPWidget do you have on your machine?
