Uhm, you have to make the same change to the config file as estanis. See the beginning of the first posting; you have to add "0091" to the TargetProductList.

Hi, sorry it took me long to post a reply, I was travelling during this week.

I have made the changes in the first post to the file /etc/usb_modeswitch.d/19d2:2000 (basically just add 0091 to the TargetProductList numbers).

Still, when I run wvdial, it tells me there is no such device as /dev/gsmmodem

When I plugged the device, a new log was created in /var/log/usb_modeswitch_1-5:1.0 It's contents are:

The "gsmmodem" is just a convenience addition. It's a symbolic link to the (only) interrupt port out of the several ttyUSBs that a device provides.

If you have the same device as estanis, you should be able to use "/dev/ttyUSB3".

If you want to get to the bottom of it, use the alternative dispatcher file from the first page of this topic.

Thank you Josh, the modem is working properly on /dev/ttyUSB3

I'm still having some problems with wvdial and thus am unable to connect. Once I get it solved I'll post here to help anyone that might have the same problem with this modem.

By the way, the problem I'm facing now is that wvdial is not using the correct DNS servers. It insists on using 10.11.12.13 and 10.11.12.14 even though I've changed these values in the file /etc/resolv.conf and also tried setting the option "Auto DNS = 0" on /etc/wvdial.conf

I've searched for a solution online, but could not find one. If anyone has any idea on how to solve this, it would be very much appreciated.
