From all my searches on Google about this device I can draw the following conclusions:

1. This is not a modem. It's a WLAN stick. And the TalkTalk version seems to have a somewhat buggy firmware
2. There are no drivers on board. It comes with a driver CD. Most likely there is no switching necessary
3. Atheros claims to make it work with Linux and their driver

Where have you got the information from about those target IDs?

Not wireless, it's modem because I open software in windows to switch on modem and I open Ubuntu 8.04 under Vmware.

Ubuntu detected modem and can connect to internet.

O.K., so this thing has really different modes.

So, did you sniff the Windows driver to find the switching message? Do you have a log file?

And can you post a "lsusb" output from Ubuntu after switching in Windows?

Please try the line with "06 1b". That is a typical switching command ("eject"). The "06 00" command just tests the device status; probably the driver waiting for the switch.

I try with Nokia 6111 ( CA43 Cable ) can connect to internet but I need to setup parameter on mobile phone.

I try 061b switch on Vmware Ubuntu and It's work fine.

Vmware Ubuntu auto detect modem and I choose only ISP list in Thailand.

But it's not work on WL-500GP on chat.log post.

I have the same dongle.
I try switch to modem with usb_modswitch(1.1.3) successfully in ubuntu 10.04.
However, it's fail to change in the embed system: mips and linux2.6.21.

I am not sure where the usbfs error is coming from.

Anyway, try again with the options -I and -n. See if that changes anything.
