I already switch from 19d2:2000 to 19d2:0031 on Asubs WL-500GP

but status log show unrecognized /dev/usb/tts0.

My Aircard has sd card slot. How I can do next step.

Did you load "usbserial" or "cdc_acm"? Are there parameters for the modem in /etc/modprobe.conf or /etc/modprobe.d ?

Anyway, the device has obviously switched all right.

Now try this:

Then check "dmesg" again.

Josh, thanks, It help me to, but it's a problem of all debian-like systems. Modules usbserial & cdc_acm load by default, but without

Not just a Debian problem. It affects most distributions.

As I said on several occasions, support for mode switching and for modem driver binding has lots of holes when it comes to the big distributions.

If you want, try the latest version and do a "make install_integrated" (save your edited version of /etc/usb_modeswitch.conf first!).

The "option" lines that you're using are included in the automatic wrapper mechanism. I'd really like to know if it works on your system.

Afterwards, you can optionally do a "make uninstall_integrated" to remove everything without a trace.

Josh: the automatic wrapper mechanism doesn't work. Today i've install new version of usb_modeswitch, but it doesn't help. I wrote a simple script to do all these steps by manually to start modem.
P.S. If I can do anything to help - please write.

For a first diagnosis enable the logging in the wrapper; see Troubleshooting on the doc page.

OK. I have tested on Debian Lenny and it ran well, so let's check if something is missing on your system.

Do you have "tcl" installed? Then you should get at least a log in /var/log if you turned on logging as advised in my previous post.
