Hello all,
I have Huawei 1261 working with Ubunuty Hardy using usb_modeswitch. I had an old Slackware 12.1 and I thought I would get that working too. The link of my Ubuntu is: http://www.draisberghof.de/usb_modes...hp?p=2661#2661 I followed exactly the above steps for my Slackware but can't connect to the internet. I installed usb_modeswitch without any problem. I installed wvdial also. Well, the connection is made and seems O.K. It's probably a routing problem. You should be able to find lots of information about that (start with the "route" command).

Thanks for your reply Josh. I still can't get it to work in Slackware.

in slackware to stop my DHCP wired connection and then do "wvdial cdma", Firefox tries to connect to the internet but fails after a while. If I don't do "/etc/rc.d/rc.inet1 stop" and directly do "wvdial cdma", Firefox gives up immedaitely. Thanks in advance. |

Please understand that my time is very limited and that I rather focus on usb_modeswitch issues. Maybe there is a Slackware community to help you with your connection problems.
