Thank you for your advice. I misunderstood how to find the message. I did it again with the 'standard' MessageContent (recommended by Huawei). sudo usb_modeswitch -v 0x12d1 -p 0x1c1b -M "55534243123456780000000000000a11062000000000000100000000000000" ..and I got same result! $ lsusb Bus 00...
