Changes in 1.2.3 tar.bz2 file?

Is it correct that the 1.2.3 release archive 'changed'?
The file I downloaded January 29th is 254164 bytes and has MD5 a34371a628c369436a8baf77b751b4e1
The file currently available is 254562 bytes and has MD5 9b29e8b0d93d7604a9e5efc4696d37a3

Hi Josh, Ususally, I send a mass mail to all members of the forum for a new release. In fact, the only way to opt out is to be removed from the member list ... I did not see any message for 115 nor 116 (can't remember for previous versions  ), does that still work? PS: keep up the good work, r...

Honestly, I don't know about 2.4.x capabilities. And I have to check compliance with too many different distributions already to include these old kernels. Not so important, but 2.4.37.9 was released only 3 days ago  That is newer than 2.6.32.7 (current stable). I have read from people that u...

I don't have any boxes with 127 / 128 running, but yes, the option handling code has changed between those 2 versions.

In udev 127 it is handled in udevcontrol.c and looks for --reload_rules
In udev 128 options are in udevadm-control.c and uses --reload-rules.

This is somewhat related (if not I'll post it here anyway  ): If possible add (e-mail) notification when new versions are released. One solution would be to be able to be notified on new messages in the Announcements subsection of the forum. If that is not possible, a single thread (which could...

Not sure if this is important, but:
Josh wrote:The udev developers changed the command names of their admin tool at some point. I have not found out yet at which version number the change happened.
That would be 128.

A quick test of versions 125 and 146 shows that udevadm version works for both...
