These "Terms of Use" are different from what you have to confirm before downloading the QMI lib and doc. Thanks. Yes, those restrictions are a lot more limiting. I find the whole thing strange, given that they provide the Gobi Linux SDK under an extremely permissive 3-clause BSD license on https://...

Take care - when registering, you are consenting to a very strict non-disclosure agreement ... I fully agree that you should be careful wrt what you agree to, and what the received documentation can be used for. The TOU in this case is available from http://www.qualcomm.com/site/terms-of-use I cann...

ZTE MF60 need udev rule tweaking

ZTE reuse their 19d2:2000 device id for the MF60 "Global Mobile Hotspot", and the existing configuration does switch the device (as well as a simple eject, but I assume that is one of the magic USB storage commands in the config file...) But I had to scratch my head a while to find out why automatic...

If I type : > modprobe usbserial vendor=0x12d1 product=0x14ac I get : modprobe: chdir(2.6.32.12): No such file or directory However I can load the modules "usbserial.ko" & "ftdi_sio.ko" with the command " insmod ". Right, I should have guessed. Using insmod usbserial.ko vendor=0x12d1 product=0x14ac...

Re: Huawei E182E + Linux 2.6.32.12 = NO "/dev/ttyUSB0&q

Does your platform have *any* USB serial drivers which can be used? I guess even the generic driver will do, as long as your need is SMS messaging only. If you've got the option driver then that would be best. But if not, then you could try modprobe usbserial vendor=0x12d1 product=0x14ac NOTE: This ...

Re: ZTE-MF-668 fail to fond data port

I've try to insmod the cdc-wdm driver after removing the cdc_ether, but there still weren't any change to my interfaces , just shows "Driver=(none)" . Does it means that the cdc-wdm driver cant work with this ZTE-MF-688 dongle? [/quote] You need to add the device ID as well (modify this for your de...

Re: ZTE-MF-668 fail to fond data port

Could you teach me how to verify a serial port? What features does a serial port has? A serial port USB interface will have bulk in+out endpoints, and possibly an interrupt in endpoint as well. As such it is not possible to distinguish from a usb-storage or ethernet emulation interface. But the sto...
