1. I wish it existed http://www.draisberghof.de/usb_modeswit ... st.tar.bz2 and not just http://www.draisberghof.de/usb_modeswit ... .6.tar.bz2

2. If my 1st wish does not come true, I wish it existed http://www.draisberghof.de/usb_modeswit ... rsions.xml containing something like this:

Code: Select all

<xml>
<package name="usb_modeswitch">
<release>1.0.6</release>
<target>http://www.draisberghof.de/usb_modeswitch/usb_modeswitch-1.0.6.tar.bz2</target>
</package>
<package name="usb_modeswitch_config">
<release>20091228</release>
<target>http://www.draisberghof.de/usb_modeswitch/usb_modeswitch-current_data.tar.bz2</target>
</package>
</xml>

I can't generate symlinks on my webspace, and I don't like to duplicate files, so I made the second wish becoming reality ...

This is somewhat related (if not I'll post it here anyway :lol: ):

If possible add (e-mail) notification when new versions are released.

One solution would be to be able to be notified on new messages in the Announcements subsection of the forum.
If that is not possible, a single thread (which could be monitored as is) with a small message pointing to the 'new version announcement' message.

Ususally, I send a mass mail to all members of the forum for a new release. In fact, the only way to opt out is to be removed from the member list ...

But in addition, I'll consider the announce thread. Seems like a simple "opt in" solution.

I did not see any message for 115 nor 116 (can't remember for previous versions :wink: ), does that still work?

PS: keep up the good work, really appreciate it.

In fact, I didn't send a notice for the last versions. I probably should though for 1.1.6 as it corrects several quirks.
