Re: Modem D-Link DWM-221
Your dongle with initial id 2001:a401 did switch here:
Make it switch and show me the output from lsusb -v -d 2001:7e19[ 2045.519898] usb 1-1: New USB device found, idVendor=2001, idProduct=7e19

The Results is the same error.
I abandoned this brand of modem and now I am testing an Huawey E3276, but don't work too.
Thanks for the help

Unfortunately I do not have this modem D-Link, so I can not send you the requested information.Josh wrote:Please help us too and post the output of "lsusb -v -d 2001:7e19" after plugging the D-Link modem!
I returned this modem to the seller, because I have not found anything that made it work, even though I have sought instructions for more than 15 days.
Thanks.
Re: Modem D-Link DWM-221
Never mind, I think I already know how to switch it but would also like to see what kind of modem/network adapter it became after switching.sergiogelli wrote: Unfortunately I do not have this modem D-Link, so I can not send you the requested information.

There will come other users with this dongle so we will eventually suss it all out.

Re: Modem D-Link DWM-221
Follows the result of the command "lsusb"
So also follows the command "lsusb" with that number.
If you want more information, just ask.
The product number appeared as "a401" in some instanceslinux-a49v:/home/sergio # lsusb -v -d 2001:7e19
linux-a49v:/home/sergio #
So also follows the command "lsusb" with that number.
As said before, these results were made without the connected modem.linux-a49v:/home/sergio # lsusb -v -d 2001:a401
linux-a49v:/home/sergio #
If you want more information, just ask.

Re: Modem D-Link DWM-221
Thanks but we will have to wait for someone who has the modem, lsusb will only display info for devices which are present on the usb port.
