Just for information.
The mobile WLAN-LTE-Router R216 from Vodafone(HUAWEI) works with linux out of the box.
via USB as well via WLAN.
It works with ipv4, ipv6 and ipv4&ipv6.
It has three IDs. (off - loading the akku, unswitched on, working on).
Windows7 uses the same ID (12d1:1c50)
Some details are attached.

usb_modeswitch does not use the changelog for determining if a certain usb id is supported for switching, it uses a config file in the usb_modeswitch datapackage.
