Post by lksteam » 23 Aug 2014, 17:16

Hi All,

I know that you all have read this question a few times but I need your help
for setting up the ZTE MF667 under Ubuntu 12.04.

I have already tried several thing which I have found in the Net including the
setup steps on this page here but I do not get the stick working.

usb-device brings:
  • T: Bus=02 Lev=02 Prnt=02 Port=01 Cnt=01 Dev#= 16 Spd=480 MxCh= 0
    D: Ver= 2.00 Cls=02(commc) Sub=00 Prot=00 MxPS=64 #Cfgs= 1
    P: Vendor=19d2 ProdID=1405 Rev=f0.a7
    S: Manufacturer=ZTE,Incorporated
    S: Product=ZTE WCDMA Technologies MSM
    S: SerialNumber=P680A1ZTED000000CP261718U46EM0SHD7FW707_8C67&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&0
    C: #Ifs= 3 Cfg#= 1 Atr=c0 MxPwr=500mA
    I: If#= 0 Alt= 0 #EPs= 1 Cls=02(commc) Sub=06 Prot=00 Driver=cdc_ether
    I: If#= 1 Alt= 1 #EPs= 2 Cls=0a(data ) Sub=00 Prot=00 Driver=cdc_ether
    I: If#= 2 Alt= 0 #EPs= 2 Cls=08(stor.) Sub=06 Prot=50 Driver=usb-storage
and lsusb:
  • T: Bus 002 Device 016: ID 19d2:1405 ZTE WCDMA Technologies MSM
I have also add to a rule for the stick to 40-usb_modeswitch.rules
but it does not work.

Could someone help me? :?:

Thanks in advance for help

Hmm, you probably have to define "does not work" more specifically.

It seems that usb_modeswitch has worked because your modem is not in install mode anymore.
Are you referring to Network Manager perhaps?
