That's what I have suspected.

I'll start working on an update tonight anyway, and during this I will revert a tiny change that I have made which - in theory - shouldn't have had an impact ... But, who knows?

Duh ... I just checked the code and the components - seems I was wrong: there isn't the slightest change compared to 1.0.9 regarding the network notification, not even a tiny one.

Are you sure you did not update annother central component of your device as well? A system update maybe?

What's the name of the antivirus app you installed?

These antivirus programs sometimes install additional restrictions for apps.
