We will try to fix the current version.

Do you know which your previous version was, or when you last updated before the update that doesn't work? That would be helpful.

Furthermore, I need to see the USB log and the PPP log. If you have not done it already, enable logging on the config page. It's the option at the bottom.

Then connect and dial until the message appears. Close it and open the configuration again. The two lower buttons should now be active so that you can open both logs. "Copy" the content and paste it to a text file that you then attach here, or paste directly into your reply.

No image please, just text.

This is the PPP Log:

That's helpful, there was no update for a long time then so I know which version you have used before.

Now, for your current problem:

Try to unselect the new option in the configuration, which is about using the system USB or included USB.

Does that change anything?

But,
I got PPP Widget 3 to work by doing the following:

1.Installed PPP Widget 2 using wifi
2.Placed both 2 & 3 on the home screen
3.Plugged in the dongle
4.When asked to select an app for the device i chose PPPwidget 2
5.Done the config, connected and disconnected it using widget2
5.Then Clicked on the ppp icon in widget3
6.Asked for config
7.Done it and automatically connects

All apps are connected to the internet.

The reason i am not using widget 2 is apps including google play has no internet access.

Anyhow, after every unplug, i have to clear data of ppp widget 3 inorder to make it work[weird]

Will there be a new version supporting android-x86 or 8.0 oreo?

You can only change it while the modem is not connected.

The current version is well tested with Android 8. The new "System/Native USB" option was specifically added for Oreo.

If you have this version running, I definitely suggest you try with the system USB instead of the native USB.
