Re: rockchip and Huawei E3372
Your car radio has already built in programs and drivers for 3G connection so you have two possibilities:
1. Find out yourself which the already built-in 3G programs are. Disable them because they conflict with pppwidget. You can use pppwidget after having done that.
2. Use the already built-in 3G programs, remove pppwidget.
Use only a modem that is listed on the car radios compatibility list of modems

Re: rockchip and Huawei E3372
When I insert the modem into the USB port without instaled widget so nothing happens. I did not find any programs that would be linked to the 3G / 4G modems. As far as the widget is installed by connecting a modem message will appear if we want to use the widget to control the modem. But as I've written I can not connect. If you can help make that message. well thank you
Re: rockchip and Huawei E3372
What does the manual of the car radio say about which modems are supported?
Re: rockchip and Huawei E3372
i have board with rockchip too, Tinkerboard run with Android Marshmallow, huawey 3372, instaled ppp widget 3 and result is same as rios66, i test it at my Lenovo P70 phone with android 4.4.4 and there it works perfect, but there USB log says that device info is vid: 12d1 pid:14fe, at rockchip it is 12d1:1506

Re: rockchip and Huawei E3372
Please post your "USB Log" and "PPP Log" that you get on the Tinkerboard when using PPP Widget.
(No screenshot please, use plain text.)

Re: rockchip and Huawei E3372
I added them to the my original message, thx for answer
Re: rockchip and Huawei E3372
The USB log does not include the mode switch that normally happens when you insert the modem with PPP Widget active on the workspace. It looks like you recorded the manual device search.
Can you post the USB log that is created automatically when inserting the modem?

Re: rockchip and Huawei E3372
There is still a lot missing in your USB log. PPP Widget does never see your modem in "install mode".
This is important since there are several possible "modem modes" for Huawei modems. PPP Widget needs to have the opportunity to choose the right mode.
If you haven't tampered with the modem to permanently disable the install ("CD") mode, then it is likely that your Android system is trying to do some mode switching itself.
Here is the USB log for my Huawei E3372 for comparison:

Re: rockchip and Huawei E3372
pls what can i do with my usb stick? how can i disable install /CD mode? thx for answer
Re: rockchip and Huawei E3372
I'm not sure you have understood what I wrote. You don't want the install mode to be permanently disabled!
The mode switch is done dynamically every time when inserting the stick.
It is likely that your system does some mode-switching with your E3372 - before PPP Widget can access it.
See if you can find a file named "usb_modeswitch" on your Tinkerboard system. Use a file manager like "Total Commander" and go to the folder "/system/bin" or "/system/xbin".
If it is not present, look for any other file that has "usb" in its name.

Re: rockchip and Huawei E3372
This is exactly the point. Something makes your stick change to "1506" before PPP Widget can access it.StanoC76 wrote: i test it at my Lenovo P70 phone with android 4.4.4 and there it works perfect, but there USB log says that device info is vid: 12d1 pid:14fe, at rockchip it is 12d1:1506
Compare the USB log that you get on the Lenovo P70. I think it will look very much like my USB log that I posted before. Note that my E3372 ends up as "155f", not "1506".
What is the USB ID on the P70 in the end?
The conclusion:
There is something on the Tinkerboard that brings your modem to the wrong mode when you connect it. Unless you find out what it is, there is nothing we can do.
Maybe you can ask the creators of the Tinkerboard system? Do they have a support forum?
