I'm pulling my hair why after reboot linux fedora 38 my huawei dongle modem 12d1:14dc become 12d1:1c05 (mass storage)
and impossible to use it as a modem. no ethernet device created, nothing is happening. tried usb_modeswitch command without success.
any clue?

I also encountered the same error. Huawei modems usually start in mass storage mode.Retro Bowl Try creating a udev rule to let usb_modeswitch run automatically when booting. Installing modemmanager and rebooting can also help. Hope you can fix it soon!
