USB_ModeSwitch

How to switch my USB dongle "modem mode", where I can send "AT"-commands?
Output from usb_message seems to indicate that it does not to known my device. I have attached some output, which I hope is useful to help me getting my USB dongle in the needed mode.

You can't, there is no known mode where this dongle has serial ports.
It is a direct ethernet dongle only.
