Your log file shows that you still have a driver problem.

I assume you got the driver modules from some place and put it in the "/lib/modules" folder.

The usb_modeswitch tool finds them but they cannot be loaded and activated. The reason is most likely that they were made for a different kernel version, probably with a different compiling program.

So, what you need is a set of modules that exactly match your kernel.

I will try to generate new modules for your device, using the compiler recommended by Samsung. Please stand by ...

I have posted the modules for your kernel on the "Driver Modules" topic in this forum.

I have adapted the kernel for the Galaxy Note II which is based on the same original kernel version (3.0.31). This is somewhat experimental - please report success or failure.

Important: you have to remove the non-working modules that you put into "/lib/modules".

Put the new modules to [sdcard]/pppwidget/lib (as described in the "Driver Modules" post).

You can see at the end of the log that usb_modeswitch tried to load the same old (wrong) modules. So you get the same errors.

Again: you have to remove these from "/system/lib/modules".

So you tested the currently uploaded modules ?

Please do so again: reboot the device (important!), start PPP Widget (if not active already), switch on the logging option on the config paged, and connect your modem.

What does the USB log say? (In version 1.2.4 and up, you can watch and copy/paste the whole log from the config page.)

So I need one of the "official" modules present on your device (look into /system/lib/modules).

You can just attach it to a post here.

The module you posted has an identical version 'tag' to that of the modules I created. So it did not give any clues.

There is one more thing you can do: go to the terminal emulator and load the "usb_wwan" module manually as described in the first "Driver Modules" post.

After you get the "exec format" error again, run "dmesg".

Maybe we'll get a more detailed error report from that (look only at the last one or two lines).

Use the free "Android Terminal Emulator" from the Play Store. It gives you a command line.

Have a look at the top "Driver Module" post (see "Testing"):
